Turn a precious family watercolour into a Piece of Stained Glass Art
The customer approached me with a wish to turn a small watercolour painted by her late mother into a big bold panel to go in a bathroom wall. The tiny painting required a major resize to fit with the customers required dimensions and then had to be adapted so it could be created in glass. This was a challenging and time consuming process but both me and the customer were extremely happy with the result and I was so grateful to be given the opportunity and trust to be the person to do it.
Porthole Perfection
I was approached by a customer who was retrofitting a house barge to live in and wanted to increase his privacy without covering up his beautiful porthole windows with awkward fitting curtains. He commissioned me to create six beautiful round stained glass shutters. We decided on three water themed designs and I got to work. For this project it was essential that every piece of glass was exactly the correct size because just a tiny bit off and it would have ruined the perfect circle that these needed to be. I am still currently finishing this project but both myself and the customer are so pleased with the effect the result has created that i thought I'd update you all now with two of the designs.
